I have lived in Fyning since 1st October, 2019, having moved from the Surrey Hills partly as a result of the increasing urbanisation of the region. We had visited the South Downs National Park on many occasions prior to moving here.
I was a lawyer for about 20 years and my husband is still a practising solicitor. In our personal capacity, we have both had experience of planning issues during the time we lived in Surrey, including objecting to over-development and supporting the preservation of listed buildings.
I am interested in the work of The Rogate Parish Council particularly in increasing a sense of community in the area and supporting the less advantaged, protecting the land it owns and preserving the special character of the area, footpaths and the open spaces by being involved in (among other things) the planning process and transport issues.
