Rogate Parish Council thanks the volunteer groups in both Rogate and Rake who continue to help residents in need with whatever issues they may have – collecting prescriptions, walking the dog , shopping, chat . . . whatever they need, somebody will help where they can.

West Sussex County Council – Community Hub – continues to be first port of call for vulnerable residents and families and can provide a range of support and practical assistance for residents classed as clinically vulnerable in West Sussex. Individuals, or their friends and family, are encouraged to contact the Community Hub or use the new online national registration service to identify any support they may require. They will be asked for their NHS number which can be found on any letter from the NHS, or on a prescription.

Chichester District Council Wellbeing and Social Prescribing are available to help people who are living alone and feeling isolated Chichester wellbeing or by calling 01243 521041
CDC Hardship Fund grants of £150 available to people in receipt of council tax benefit to help towards their bill. This can be increased as part of a discretionary scheme. Assistance is available with rent payments through Discretionary Housing Payments scheme. Details from Chichester DC website.
Financial Support for local community groups who have seen an increase in demand through grants process, which has been enhanced by £250k to help local voluntary groups.
Self-isolation payment is processed/paid by Chichester District Council on behalf of the Government. Support for people or families on a low income who have been instructed to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace since 28 September, may be eligible for a self-isolation payment of £500. To help stop the spread of coronavirus, people across England are now required by law to self-isolate if they test positive for the virus, or if they are instructed to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace. The self-isolation support payments are there to help people on low incomes and to encourage people to self-isolate if instructed. Details of eligibility Test and trace payments.

Signposting: we will do what we can to make sure everyone gets the help they need at this challenging time, particularly by signposting. Parishioners should use contact details above for support and advice, in so far as we are able.
Communication: we will ensure parishioners have the information they need: this web page will be updated on a regular basis; communications with local groups will continue and Officers will endeavour to supply as much of the information in hard copy on Parish Council and public noticeboards to assist those who do not have internet access.
