My husband and I moved to the village in 1997. We joined the congregation of St. Bartholomew’s as soon as we arrived and I have served as secretary to the Parochial Church Council for the last fifteen years. We have taken part in many village activities over the years, especially the Summer Fete and greatly value the community spirit so evident here.
Since my retirement from teaching five years ago I have volunteered at Uppark as a room steward and also serve as a governor to a school for autistic children in Dunsfold.
We enjoy walking and feel ourselves very fortunate in having such a wealth of beautiful countryside to explore all around us. I am especially interested in the work of the parish council in maintain the village’s public spaces and hope I can contribute to this. I am also interested in the work of the planning committee since they play a vital role in helping to preserve and enhance the environment we all enjoy.
