Rogate parish is within the South Downs National Park and the Authority (SDNPA) is responsible for all planning issues, although the processing of all but major development schemes is subcontracted to Chichester District Council.
Rogate & Rake Neighbourhood Development Plan 2021-2033 forms part of the planning guidance for the parish.
Full details of all planning applications can be seen on the SDNPA website or by clicking on the pins on the map below (approximate location) for applications yet to discussed by our planning group.
Site notices should be displayed by the visiting Planning Officer and neighbour notification letters sent by the planning authority. Registration on the SDNPA planning website provides the opportunity to select a mapped area and receive notifications of all applications within your defined area.
Details of all applications, our comments and eventual SDNPA decisions are recorded in our planning meeting papers. Our planning working group meets as required via zoom – members of the public are welcome to join the meeting – please email clerk@rogateparishcouncil.gov.uk ahead of the meeting for a link.
We encourage members of the public to comment on planning applications via the SDNPA planning portal as well as sharing their comments with us and Kate O’Kelly (District/County Councillor) if appropriate.
